HISTORY My name is Curtis Collar. You can say that I have been making signs for most of my life. I got my start in the sign industry at a young age, working with my father at his sign and tint shop in Georgia. I can remember working during vacations from school and spending the money I earned on baseball cards. At the same time, I was learning vital lessons and gaining experience. I then began working full-time with my dad after school and really enjoyed the creativity that came with the job.
After moving to Rochester, New York, I worked with a local sign company for eight years learning additional avenues of this business. But I really had the desire to start my own sign company. This lead to the opening of The Custom Sign Shop. I married my wife here in Rochester, who is also in the graphic design industry. Together we make a great team.
GOALS Our experience can be put to work for you. The items under the product and services section of this site will familiarize you with everything we have to offer. My goals are to take care of my customers, give them high-quality work for a reasonable price, and deliver an amazing final product everyone can be proud of.
